美國職籃NBA洛杉磯湖人後衛林書豪動向備受關注。SB Nation的達拉斯小牛隊專欄作家傑納諾認為，如果明星後衛艾利斯離開小牛，林書豪將是最佳選擇。
傑納諾（John Gennaro）今天在專欄中指出，雖然今年季外，林書豪在美國職籃NBA自由球員市場被認為過度高估，但如果艾利斯（Monta Ellis）離開小牛，小牛隊球迷也許會希望簽下林書豪，而林書豪也可能會是小牛的需求。
傑納諾列出林書豪在紐約尼克、休士頓火箭以及洛杉磯湖人隊的每36分鐘數據，與小牛隊的艾利斯、巴雷亞（J.JBarea）以及哈里斯（DevinHarris）做對比，絲毫不遜色。
傑納諾也特別強調，過去大家認為林書豪的防守不好，但事實上，林書豪在紐約的防守還算可以，只是在火箭以及湖人隊，他得為哈登（James Harden）、布萊恩（Kobe Bryant）與布瑟（Carlos Boozer）等人補防。
此外，傑納諾也認為，林書豪很聰明，雖然不是傑出的射手，但有不錯的中距離，三分球偶爾也很致命，儘管他仍有許多缺點，但對小牛隊與林書豪來說，可能會是完美的組合。
在小牛隊陣中，只有3名球員比林書豪年輕。傑納諾指出，林書豪還是未完成品，如果林書豪能加入小牛隊，他與帕森斯（Chandler Parsons）有可能一起打出生涯巔峰。
傑納諾強調，儘管許多球迷與球隊總經理可能已經放棄林書豪，但林書豪在尼克、火箭與湖人都沒有受到正確的對待，換言之，林書豪在季外可能變得相當便宜，這對小牛隊也有利。
傑納諾最後認為，如果小牛隊在尋找取代艾利斯的人選，林書豪在過去曾在類似的體系打出好成績，也有足夠的空間可以成長。只是先決條件在於簽下林書豪不會對球隊薪資造成壓力，這樣的林書豪會更有吸引力。
